Country Girl Heirloom Mum Rooted Cutting
A hardy, heirloom Korean-type garden mum (Chrysanthemum x rubellum) that forms a low, spreading clump rather than an upright cutting stem — sometimes sold under the name 'Clara Curtis.' In mid-October the clump is topped in a solid cover of soft, light pink daisy-form flowers. Especially valued for thriving in hot, humid Southern gardens where many mums struggle with disease.
Bloom Time: Mid-October (very late season)
Bloom Size: ~3 inches
Plant Height: Low, spreading clump — can reach 5 ft wide within a few years
Stem Quality: Not a florist/cutting-stem type mum; grown more as a groundcover-style landscape plant
Best Uses: Fall garden groundcover, mass plantings, Southern/humid-climate gardens
Growing Notes: Notably heat- and drought-tolerant and reliable even in hot, humid Southern gardens where most mums decline.
