How to Grow
Direct sow 2–4 weeks before your last spring frost, or in fall in mild-winter climates for a cool-season crop. Calendula tolerates cool soil and light frost well. Keep soil lightly moist until germination. Pick flowers regularly once open; frequent picking encourages more blooms.

Good to Know
For drying (tea use), lay flowers on a screen or paper towel in a single layer, out of direct sun, for about 1–2 weeks until fully dry and crisp, then store in an airtight jar out of light. 
Fun fact! Calendula has traditionally been used as an anti-inflammatory for skin issues such as insect bites and minor wounds, and prior scientific studies show moderate anti-inflammatory effects. It is also sometimes used in skin creams, salves, and lotions.
